- Introduce spelling-vocabulary words to The Grapes of Wrath book group and Of Mice and Men book group. (Study guides can be accessed below notes.) Students are responsible for writing their own sentences. Study guides are due Friday, 2/5, the same day as the spelling-vocabulary test.
- Create visual illustration of parallelism found on pp 60-61 of Out of the Dust.

- The Grapes of Wrath book group will be dismissed to the library to work on study guides.
- Of Mice and Men book group will remain in the classroom to work on their study guides.
