*8.RN.2.1: Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what a text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
*8.RN.2.3: Analyze how a text makes connections and distinctions among individuals, events, and ideas.
***Students will have a comprehensive Spelling-Vocabulary Test on Friday, 1/8, with a ALL words from 6 spelling-vocabulary tests from The Red Badge of Courage. There will be a word bank with this test.

- - -Spelling-Vocabulary Test today! Students will work on reading the remaining chapters of the book, The Red Badge if Courage, following the test.
TUESDAY, January 5, 2016
- Students reviewed AR questions for book, Lincoln A Photobiography and completed AR online reading quiz.
- Students began work on Red Badge Open Book Quiz, Chapters 17, 18, 19, 20, & 21. We will review answers Thursday, (1/7). Class will not meet tomorrow, due to a convocation at the high school.

THURSDAY, January 7, 2016
- Complete final work in class on open book quiz, Red Badge, Chapters 17, 18, 19, 20, & 21. Review answers orally with documentation, as time is allows. Collect quizzes.
- REMINDER!! Friday, 1/8, students will have a comprehensive spelling-vocabulary test over quizzes 1-6 of the Red Badge. Students will be allowed to use their Reading Binders.
